It's Been A Long Time

Sunday, February 27, 2005: Nothing much has been going on, that's why I haven't taken the time to blog. M and L 'broke up' because she was getting too clingy. She really did call a lot and wanted to see M all the time. Even though she said that she didn't want to be in a relationship, you could tell that was a big, fat lie by the way she talked to him and wanted him to go over by her house all the time. I don't know about you, but I don't generally beg my friends to come over and hang out. It's much more relaxed and laid back with friends than she was acting toward M. Oh well. So, now he's looking again.

I've been busy with work so I haven't had the time to look for someone. I did have an interesting message when I logged into my Friendster account, so we'll see where that goes.

Life in general has been busy for M and I. He's up for a promotion at work and hopefully he'll hear about that this week. I've also applied for a new job and should hear either way, tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because it's more in my field than what I'm doing now. Just the thought of being able to leave the place I am now makes me smile. I've never worked in such a hostile environment before. Once they found out that I was in an inter-racial marriage, I've gotten nothing but negativity. Which does not bother me in the least because if there is one thing I cannot stand, it's people who are prejudice. So, I really don't want any of the people there as friends. However, I am tired of being stared at and talked about. Hello, have these people ever heard of the word WHISPER??

A emailed and wanted me to meet him in Milwaukee this week. Unfortunately I couldn't do it because of work. I would have loved to have seen him again. I told him maybe we can make arrangements for sometime this summer since I have to go back for court. (I'm taking B's dad back to court because he's not paying child support and owes me over $18,000.)

Other than that, we're apartment hunting. We finally got a new bed. A king size, pillow top. I swear, I don't ever want to get out of bed. It's so much more comfortable than the one we had. (Which M's brother and sister-in-law had before us.) What a difference a new bed makes in your sleep. I hardly ever wake up during the night now.

I guess I'll update again once M or I find a new people to hang out with. Hopefully it won't be too long.
